Join Us on our Beach and Seabed Clean-ups!
Two Island Guardians beach and seabed clean-ups will be organised in conjunction with the NGO Zibel on 6th and 20th July. Join us!
Clean-up 1: Saturday 6th July at Buġibba Bay
Our first clean-up will be held at Buġibba Bay on Saturday 6th July at 9am.

Zibel will provide all the required items for a successful clean-up: waste pickers, bags, gloves and sand sifters; masks and snorkels for those who wish to collect some underwater waste; diving equipment for advanced divers; sunblock; a snack and water.

Clean-Up Protocol
Zibel is an experienced clean-up organisation. All necessary permits will be in hand, of course, and waste will disposed of as per environmental regulations.
In line with the Remedies Clean-up Guidelines, we will be weighing the waste we collect and separating the plastic waste from the rest.
The collected waste will be used by a local Maltese artist to create an installation that will then be showcased at Esplora from September onwards.
